As our culminating hike in the area—and in conjunction with incredible weather—we finished out our stay in El Chalten with a repeat hike up to the viewpoint that affords 360 degrees of views. One sees from Lake Viedma in the south, west into the Chilean Andes, north to various glaciers, Cerro Torre and Fitzroy, and east into the valley that cradles El Chalten and the ridge of rock that borders the Rio de las Vueltas.
